LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) — When you sit down and talk to Autumn de Forest, it can be easy to forget you’re talking to a 14-year-old.

Conversation with her is typically about art.

Her paintings have led her to a Presidential Committee on the Arts, to the Vatican and a meeting with the Pope, and into schools across the country.

Her work hangs in Vatican City and she is the youngest artist to ever have her work featured in a solo show at a major U.S. museum.

de Forest is a prodigy.

She is also a student. The Las Vegas native is a member of the Nevada Connections Academy. The online school gives her the flexibility to take classes while traveling.

“It gives me the freedom and the flexibility to continue my education abroad,” de Forest said.
