Def Leppard’s Rick Allen takes art collection on tour to benefit veterans
Legendary drummer Rick Allen has lived a rocker’s life since he was a teenager. Joining Def Leppard at the age of 15, Allen and his bandmates quickly found themselves sharing the stage with music’s biggest acts and becoming rock powerhouses themselves.

WASHINGTON (ABC7) — For nearly 40 years, Rick Allen has been packing arenas across the globe, drumming for the iconic rock band Def Leppard. But a few years ago he started sharing other forms of art with his personal collection of abstract pieces.
You may know him as the drummer for “Def Leppard” but Rck Allen is more than a musician. This weekend you can see his latest collection of artwork titled “Rick Allen: Angels and Icons,” in Boca Raton at the Wentworth Gallery.

Wentworth Gallery will present, in its Short Hills, New Jersey, premiere, Rick Allen’s works from his latest collection, titled “Rick Allen: Angels and Icons.” Allen’s art is currently being showcased exclusively in Wentworth Gallery locations throughout the country, and Short Hills is the first stop on the tour.
Rick Allen’s artwork is moving from the concert stage and the recording studio to art gallery walls. His latest exhibition, “Rick Allen: Angels and Icons,” is a collection of 45 mixed media originals drawing on photography, light art and painting on display at Wentworth Gallery at the Mall at Short Hills.
