Houston – Salvador Dalí is one of the most recognizable artists of the 20th century, known for his surreal imagery and unforgettable personality. Now, Houston art lovers have a chance to see a different side of the legendary artist through a collection with a deeply personal connection to his life and work.
Madame Christine Argillet, curator of the Argillet Collection, grew up around Dalí because her father, Pierre Argillet, was the artist’s longtime publisher and close friend. She even spent summers in Spain with her father and Dalí, giving her a firsthand perspective on the artist beyond his famous public persona.
