NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Twenty five years have passed since the final words of Dr. Seuss were published.
The American writer and illustrator wrote 44 books and sold more than 650 million copies.
And now, limited edition prints from arguably his most famous book, “Oh The Places You’ll Go,” are now on display and for sale.
The drawings have never before been shown or seen in 25 years, and they’re being showcased for the first time at Angela King Gallery in the French Quarter.
“The story really starts out with this young boy in his pajamas going through life. Which road do you choose? Where do you go? What do you do,” says national sales manager for the art of Dr. Seuss, Jeff Schuffman.
The traveling exhibition honors the 25th anniversary of Seuss’s “Oh The Places You’ll Go.”
His works will be displayed in galleries and museums around the country.
It’s a rare exhibition that’s not to be missed.
“We have all of these memories that go back to our childhood and then maybe to our children and even grandchildren that are exposed to these stories and the beauty of Dr. Seuss,” says Schuffman.
