Ranch & Coast: Ingenious! The World of Dr. Seuss

Reprinted from Ranch & Coast
The San Diego History Center presents a marquee exhibition celebrating Theodor Geisel. Spanning early drawings in Life magazine, including editorial, advertising, military, and book illustrations, as well as works from the Secret Art Collection, the exhibition will also feature family-friendly activities based on Dr. Seuss’ books’ underlying themes: literacy, the environment, family, and community. Thirty-two didactic panels present original and reproduced historical ephemera from 1927-1990, along with a selection of authorized estate editions. A Dr. Seuss reading nook will feature monthly readings by notable readers including Mayor Kevin Faulconer and many others. (www.sandiegohistory.org)
