DARIEN — On January 11, the day after the death of David Bowie profoundly shocked and moved multitudes, artist-illustrator Peter Max memorialized the pop icon in a Facebook post.
With a body of work that’s helped define the American artistic landscape for decades, artist Peter Max will have a newly-curated collection of painting on exhibit at Omaha’s Gallery 72 located at 1806 Vinton Street.

You can tell a lot about a person from what words they use. Legendary pop artist Peter Max, for instance, loves the word “fantastic.”
His art, in many senses, embodies every sense of that word. March 12 marks the opening of a retrospective exhibit at the Old Towne Gallery in Park City featuring Max’s most popular works, spanning his career of more than half a century. The exhibit starts with a preview party March 11 at 6 p.m.
